Eight teams represented our academy at the Columbus Cup, achieving two championships and one runner-up finish during an unforgettable weekend of competition, teamwork and pride.
Uruguayan Soccer Academy enjoyed an outstanding weekend at the SUSA Columbus Cup 2026, held October 10–11. Our club entered the competition with eight teams, giving players from different age groups the opportunity to compete, grow and proudly represent the academy.
The tournament brought together talented teams and delivered two demanding days of soccer. From the opening whistle to the final matches, our players demonstrated commitment, discipline and an incredible desire to compete for one another.
Two Championships and One Runner-Up Finish
The weekend produced three remarkable achievements for the academy:
- Our 2015/2016 team completed an undefeated tournament and was crowned Columbus Cup champion.
- Our 2012 team also lifted the championship trophy after an excellent performance throughout the competition.
- Our 2016 team reached the final and finished as tournament runner-up, completing a memorable campaign.
Winning two championships and reaching another final with eight participating teams represents an important achievement for Uruguayan Soccer Academy. However, the success of the weekend goes far beyond trophies and medals.
Every one of our teams competed with courage, respect and determination. Each player gave their maximum effort in every match, proudly defending our colors and helping keep the name of Uruguayan Soccer Academy held high.
A Complete Academy Effort
These results reflect the continued work taking place during every training session. They are the product of the players’ dedication, the coaches’ guidance and the commitment of an entire academy that continues working toward the development of young athletes both on and off the field.
We congratulate all eight teams that represented Uruguayan Soccer Academy at the Columbus Cup. Every player contributed to this special weekend, regardless of the final result.
Their attitude, teamwork and passion showed the identity we want our academy to represent in every competition.
Thank You to Our Families
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all the families who accompanied and supported our players throughout the tournament.
Your encouragement from the sidelines, your commitment and the countless hours dedicated to helping the children pursue their passion are an essential part of every achievement. These moments would not be possible without you.
Congratulations to our champions, our runner-up team and every player who proudly represented Uruguayan Soccer Academy.
